Roots Celebration 2018

Honored to have had the opportunity to photograph my 3rd annual Roots Celebration hosted by the Metis Community Service Office of Kelowna in Pillar Lake Falkland, BC. Attending this event yearly has such a special place in my heart and every year it just gets better. From the start I have been in love with the fact that this event brings Metis families together for a weekend of camping, connecting and celebrating Metis culture. This year however was different as we not only celebrated our Metis culture but other aboriginal cultures as well (Cree, Sylix and Secwepemc)
