Metis Children and Family Forum 2017

When requested to photograph this event, I enthusiastically agreed because the subject is one that I am very passionate about. The Metis Children and Family Forum was hosted at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. A continuation of the family finder training program by Kevin Campbell at the Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna, Metis organizations from across BC came together to discuss how to implement the family finder training successfully in order to improve the care system for our Metis children. I feel so grateful and blessed to be presented with the opportunity to connect with an amazing group of inspiring individuals who strongly advocate for Metis children but I feel even more blessed that I am able to be a part of this life changing journey by documenting it with my photography.
