Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services Office

Had the opportunity to attend and photograph and event hosted by Metis Commission for Children and Families of BC in Kamloops at the Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services Office. In addition to landscape and conceptual fine art photography, I also do Metis events and so far have shot in a few different locations around BC. The location however for this particular event is one of my favorite locations to shoot Metis events in by far. The Metis office in Kamloops just took my breath away with its warm atmosphere and show of true Metis pride, culture, tradition and values in its work space. From the beautiful Metis Artwork and displays as well as indigenous work and hand created details down to the finish on the walls, every detail was truly thought out with love and pride.
